Moo Gourmet Burgers (Crows Nest Sydney)
We were in the Crows Nest area house hunting on a Saturday morning and decided to settle at Moo Burgers for lunch. The menu has the classic as well as some rather unique offerings. Feeling adventurous that day, we went for the chorizo burger and duck burger. The chorizo really shined through in my burger. I personally can do without the layer of mozzarella but the burger was delicious nevertheless.
Also make sure you try their range of drinks. Washing the burger down with a coke spider brought back wonderful memories.

The Sushi Counter (Crows Nest Sydney)
We visited Sushi Counter at Crows Nest with a friend who also lives in the area for a Friday dinner catch up. The restaurant has an extensive sushi menu, along with the usual favourites. The gyoza was rather different as it was served in soup with a chilli paste (rather than the usual pan fried). Sushi platter was fresh and generous. For something special, I recommend the scampi sushi with the shell cooked in miso soup – the dish is pricey but worth a try.

Sailors Thai (Sydney)
With (very important) overseas visitors in the office, it is time for a team dinner in the tourist-filled The Rocks. Sailors Thai was chosen for the occasion.
The team ordered a mix of entrees to share: Sydney’s reputed oysters were accompanied by a stimulating chilli and galangal dressing, sweet spanner crab served on crispy rice, and smoked trout on betal leaves. My favourite main course was the deep fried snapper where the fins turned into wonderful crisps full of seafood flavour and the meat was cooked well and nicely balanced by a sweet sauce.
