Going to an authentic Korean BBQ was on top of the to-do list in our visit to Seoul. We went all-out and visited Bamboo House, considered a high-end Korean restaurant by many reviews and guides.
The restaurant serves beef of excellent quality. Note that Korean beef is not exported to other countries and its marbling rivals that of Japanese Wagyu. At Bamboo House, the beef is cooked at the grill by the staff in front of you, making the experience more enjoyable. You will pay a premium price, as did many celebrities with their photos on the main wall.

Braza Darling Harbour (Sydney)
It was the boss’ (from overseas) shout again and he insisted to take us to Braza at Darling Harbour because he walked past there during a family holiday. So off we went.
Braza brings out the Brazilian Churrasco experience – essentially a lot of meat by my definition. And they just kept on coming. I have to say my cuts of beef and lamb were a bit tough. But the roasted pork belly was excellent. Do order the black bean side dish.

Nishiki Wagyu Yakiniku (Crows Nest)
To continue the feasting during the Chinese New Year period, we headed to Nishiki Wagyu Yakiniku for their mid-week buffet. The family got to sample a large range of wagyu beef and Japanese dishes at $55 per head.
For an all-you-can-eat venue, the quality of wagyu beef offered was very high – tender and wonderfully marbled. The buffet had a time limit of 100 minutes which did not seem enough, given the fun I was having at the grill. However, we all left the restaurant completely satisfied.

Churrasco (Sydney)
I often believe organising work team lunches can be troublesome. All you can eat restaurants are often a good solution but quality of food can be compromised. We went to Churrasco last week and it did not disappoint.
Never ending platters of Brazilian bbq arrived at our table – all juicy and tender. There was a good variety of steak, pork, lamb, chorizo sausages and sides. You can see them cooked at the rotating bbq just before they were served.
Controlling the pace is critical to avoid over-eating. And make sure to leave room at the end for the bbq pineapple!
